Training Treble One — (Formerly Jubilate and Bel Canto)
CURRICULUM
For the 2008 season, the JUBILATE Chorus and BEL CANTO Chorus will be combined to form a single entry level chorus, Training Treble One. This is our ensemble for the youngest singers, introducing children to choral performance. Children explore the many facets of music through rhythm and song games and rehearsal of artistic choral repertoire for performance. Emphasis is placed on healthy, free singing technique including pitch matching and head voice development (the child's 'natural' voice).
As a classical music program our repertoire choices include the highest quality of choral literature in a variety of styles with an emphasis on folk music from around the world, and music of the "masters". Following is a sample list of repertoire from past seasons.

Children will also be introduced to the fundamentals of music notation through games and integration of score reading concepts throughout the rehearsal process.
