Support Us – Choral Library and Theory Curriculum

Currently, the Chorus' most immediate need is the purchase of new materials to implement the proposed curriculum for the 2003-2004 school year. In 2001 the Chorus had virtually no music of its own. Over the last two years, we have begun the building of our own choral library, but we have had to rely on borrowed music for much of our repertoire.

We need to expand our choral library to provide our choristers the chance to sing the outstanding music that forms the core of our program. We plan to build this library over the next five years, adding approximately $1500 of music in each of those years.

We must also expand our music theory curriculum from four levels to five levels, in order to provide students more individualized attention and to accommodate the broadening range of knowledge of our student population. The additional materials will cost the Chorus approximately $1000 next year.
